Sarah Palin’s Op-Ed: Copenhagen’s Political Science: Copenhagen Climate Change

Posted in sarah palin 2012

Below you will find the Op-Ed piece written by Sarah Palin and found in the Washington Post. Sarah Palin, as usual, hits the nail on the head with this one.

With the publication of damaging e-mails from a climate research center in Britain, the radical environmental movement appears to face a tipping point. The revelation of appalling actions by so-called climate change experts allows the American public to finally understand the concerns so many of us have articulated on this issue.

“Climate-gate,” as the e-mails and other documents from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia have become known, exposes a highly politicized scientific circle — the same circle whose work underlies efforts at the Copenhagen climate change conference. The agenda-driven policies being pushed in Copenhagen won’t change the weather, but they would change our economy for the worse.

The e-mails reveal that leading climate “experts” deliberately destroyed records, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and tried to silence their critics by preventing them from publishing in peer-reviewed journals. What’s more, the documents show that there was no real consensus even within the CRU crowd. Some scientists had strong doubts about the accuracy of estimates of temperatures from centuries ago, estimates used to back claims that more recent temperatures are rising at an alarming rate.

This scandal obviously calls into question the proposals being pushed in Copenhagen. I’ve always believed that policy should be based on sound science, not politics. As governor of Alaska, I took a stand against politicized science when I sued the federal government over its decision to list the polar bear as an endangered species despite the fact that the polar bear population had more than doubled. I got clobbered for my actions by radical environmentalists nationwide, but I stood by my view that adding a healthy species to the endangered list under the guise of “climate change impacts” was an abuse of the Endangered Species Act. This would have irreversibly hurt both Alaska’s economy and the nation’s, while also reducing opportunities for responsible development.

Our representatives in Copenhagen should remember that good environmental policymaking is about weighing real-world costs and benefits — not pursuing a political agenda. That’s not to say I deny the reality of some changes in climate — far from it. I saw the impact of changing weather patterns firsthand while serving as governor of our only Arctic state. I was one of the first governors to create a subcabinet to deal specifically with the issue and to recommend common-sense policies to respond to the coastal erosion, thawing permafrost and retreating sea ice that affect Alaska’s communities and infrastructure.

But while we recognize the occurrence of these natural, cyclical environmental trends, we can’t say with assurance that man’s activities cause weather changes. We can say, however, that any potential benefits of proposed emissions reduction policies are far outweighed by their economic costs. And those costs are real. Unlike the proposals China and India offered prior to Copenhagen — which actually allow them to increase their emissions — President Obama’s proposal calls for serious cuts in our own long-term carbon emissions. Meeting such targets would require Congress to pass its cap-and-tax plans, which will result in job losses and higher energy costs (as Obama admitted during the campaign). That’s not exactly what most Americans are hoping for these days. And as public opposition continues to stall Congress’s cap-and-tax legislation, Environmental Protection Agency bureaucrats plan to regulate carbon emissions themselves, doing an end run around the American people.

In fact, we’re not the only nation whose people are questioning climate change schemes. In the European Union, energy prices skyrocketed after it began a cap-and-tax program. Meanwhile, Australia’s Parliament recently defeated a cap-and-tax bill. Surely other nations will follow suit, particularly as the climate e-mail scandal continues to unfold.

In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to “restore science to its rightful place.” But instead of staying home from Copenhagen and sending a message that the United States will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices, the president has upped the ante. He plans to fly in at the climax of the conference in hopes of sealing a “deal.” Whatever deal he gets, it will be no deal for the American people. What Obama really hopes to bring home from Copenhagen is more pressure to pass the Democrats’ cap-and-tax proposal. This is a political move. The last thing America needs is misguided legislation that will raise taxes and cost jobs — particularly when the push for such legislation rests on agenda-driven science.

Without trustworthy science and with so much at stake, Americans should be wary about what comes out of this politicized conference. The president should boycott Copenhagen.

Sarah Palin “Going Rogue” on the Oprah Winfrey Show

Beautiful Sarah Palin and Oprah Winfrey

Beautiful Sarah Palin and Oprah Winfrey

Today, I watched the Oprah Winfrey show for the first time in several years. I used to be an ardent Oprah Winfrey fan until she said that there “is more than one way to Heaven”. I feel that Oprah Winfrey does her massive audience a disservice by telling lies on her show. She has so many fans that truly do not realize that JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY way to Heaven and she is spreading false doctrine on her show to naive and gullible fans who will believe anything she says.

Sarah Palins book, “Going Rogue” is due out in stores tomorrow, November 17, 2009. Sarah appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show for the first time today as she starts her book tour.

In my opinion, Sarah is not only beautiful on the outside, she is beautiful on the inside (which is far more important). I found Sarah Palin to be intelligent, caring, and devoted to God, her family, and her country. She was very unfairly treated by the so-called main stream media when she ran for Vice President in 2008. She was made fun of, told lies about, and even had her children talked about and made fun of. Why? Because she is a good and decent CONSERVATIVE woman. That’s all it took. When they could not dig up dirt on her, they made up lies against her.

Why do you think it is that when the likes of Nancy Pelosi blunders and misspeaks, that the main stream media does not let the public know about it?

Looks like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will say anything to get support for President Obama’s $900 billion stimulus package. Pelosi publicly stated that “every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs.”  The United States has a population of 303 million. It isn’t the only time Pelosi has made the bizarre claim. In a Jan. 18 interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Pelosi repeated that 500 million jobs would be lost unless Obama’s stimulus package was passed by Congress. When host Chris Wallace corrected her and asked if she meant 500,000 jobs. “What did I say, million?” asked Pelosi, adding that it “feels like 500 million.” “Some 500,000 Americans will lose their jobs each month until we have a recovery package,” she said. “Yes, Madam Speaker, it feels like almost twice the entire population are losing their jobs each month,” retorted Wallace.

Here are my personal observations about the Oprah Winfrey show today. At the beginning of the interview, when Oprah would smile at Sarah, it seemed forced to me. It did not look genuine at all. But by the end of the show, I truly think Oprah was surprised that she actually liked Sarah Palin and her smiles then seemed genuine.

I think that Sarah Palin came off as a class act. When asked about Levi Johnston, who has used his 15 minutes of fame to bash Sarah Palin and tell lies against her, Sarah did not say anything mean about him. She even put out an open invitation for him to join them for a family Thanksgiving dinner.

Sarah Palin was poised, at ease and was GENUINE. A rarity these days. Sarah Palin is truly a shining jewel among a bunch of rusted out fake diamonds.

Sarah did not say she would or would not run for President in 2012. I have hopes that she will. I think she would be good for this country and Lord only knows, we need a real Christian with real Christian values to turn our nation around. Now, for any who whine that the whole country is not made up of Christians, yes, I know that all too well. But decent Christian values are values that any moral person should have whether they worship Jesus Christ or not. Values and moral are GOOD things, they will not hurt you.

I pray that Sarah Palin and her family be blessed whether she decides to run for President in 2012 or 2016 or whenever. She deserves it.

I ask that the “main stream media” apologize to Sarah Palin for bashing her and for so obviously hating her just because she dared to stand up as a CONSERVATIVE woman and speak out. She as an American citizen had every right to accept the Vice Presidential nomination offered to her by the John McCain campaign. For that though, she has been maligned and treated extremely unfairly.

My question is: WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF? Why is it that only conservative women are treated this way?

Sarah Palin’s Response To President Obama’s Health Care Reform Speech

Posted in Other News

0

After all the rhetoric is put aside, one principle ran through President Obama’s speech tonight: that increased government involvement in health care can solve its problems.

Many Americans fundamentally disagree with this idea. We know from long experience that the creation of a massive new bureaucracy will not provide us with “more stability and security,” but just the opposite. It’s hard to believe the President when he says that this time he and his team of bureaucrats have finally figured out how to do things right if only we’ll take them at their word.

Our objections to the Democrats’ health care proposals are not mere “bickering” or “games.” They are not an attempt to “score short term political points.” And it’s hard to listen to the President lecture us not to use “scare tactics” when in the next breath he says that “more will die” if his proposals do not pass.

In his speech the President directly responded to concerns I’ve raised about unelected bureaucrats being given power to make decisions affecting life or death health care matters. He called these concerns “bogus,” “irresponsible,” and “a lie” — so much for civility. After all the name-calling, though, what he did not do is respond to the arguments we’ve made, arguments even some of his own supporters have agreed have merit.

In fact, after promising to “make sure that no government bureaucrat …. gets between you and the health care you need,” the President repeated his call for an Independent Medicare Advisory Council — an unelected, largely unaccountable group of bureaucrats charged with containing Medicare costs. He did not disavow his own statement that such a group, working outside of “normal political channels,” should guide decisions regarding that “huge driver of cost … the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives….” He did not disavow the statements of his health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, and continuing to pay his salary with taxpayer dollars proves a commitment to his beliefs. The President can keep making unsupported assertions, but until he directly responds to the arguments I’ve made, I’m going to call him out too.

It was heartening to hear the President finally recognize that tort reform is an important part of any solution. But this concession shouldn’t lead us to take our eye off the ball: the Democrats’ proposals will not reduce costs, and they will not deliver better health care. It’s this kind of “healthy skepticism of government” that truly reflects a “concern and regard for the plight of others.” We can’t wait to hear the details on that; we look forward to working with you on tort reform.

Finally, President Obama delivered an offhand applause line tonight about the cost of the War on Terror. As we approach the anniversary of the September 11th attacks and honor those who died that day and those who have died since in the War on Terror, in order to secure our freedoms, we need to remember their sacrifices and not demonize them as having had too high a price tag.

Remember, Mr. President, elected officials work for the people. Forcing a conclusion in order to claim a “victory” is not healthy for our country. We hear you say government isn’t always the answer; now hear us — that’s what we’ve been saying all along.

Sarah Palin Resigns as Governor of Alaska, Will She Run for President in 2012?

Posted in sarah palin 2012

Sarah Palin has announced today, July 3, 2009 that she is resigning as Governor of Alaska effective July 26, 2009. She is turning the Governorship over to Lt. Governor Sean Parnell.

This fuels a lot of speculation as to WHY she has chosen to resign as Governor. My hopes are that she is resigning so that she can prepare to run for the nomination as Presidential candidate for the Republican party. I hope AND pray that this will happen. We need a good Christian person who loves her country and who follows God’s laws as President of our country. By the time 2012 comes America will be in the worst shape you’ve ever seen. We are quickly heading down the road to socialism and the road to a Dictatorship if Dictator Obama has anything to do with it.

Governor Palin has been plagued with needless ethics inquiries of which ALL of them have been unfounded. We DO know this, the liberal left is scared to death of Sarah Palin. Why else would she still be the target of such ugliness 8 months AFTER the election is over? The left fears Sarah Palin, plain and simple. They will do anything to damage her reputation. They can’t find any REAL skeletons in her closet, so they keep making up FAKE skeletons to try and ruin her chances to run for President in 2012.

I feel that the Lord is on Sarah Palin’s side in this and she WILL be victorious in 2012. Sarah Palin said, “Once I decided not to run for re-election, I also felt that to embrace the conventional lame duck status in this particular climate would just be another dose of politics as usual, something I campaigned against and will always oppose,” in a statement released by her office.

Sarah Palin went on to say, “It is my duty to always protect our great state. With that in mind, my family and I determined that it is best to make a difference this summer, and I am willing to change things, so that this administration, with its positive agenda, its accomplishments, and its successful road to an incredible future, can continue without interruption and with great administrative and legislative success.”

Sarah Palin’s term would have ended in 2012. We don’t know her plans yet, as she has not let us in on them, but we hope and pray that whatever she does decide, that God Speed.

If the Lord is willing, I pray that Sarah Palin will run for President in 2012 and be victorious! Amen!

David Letterman’s Apology To Sarah Palin and her Daughters After N.O.W. Puts Him On Their Media Wall of Shame

Posted in Sarah Palin News Articles

David Letterman apologized last night to Governor Sarah Palin and her daughters Bristol and Willow Palin. This comes right after N.O.W. (National Organization for Women) puts David Letterman on their Media Wall of Shame.

Letterman “apologized” for this last week, but it was nothing more than another joke fest. This time “seems” more sincere, but we will let you be the judge.

See the video below along with a statement Sarah Palin very graciously made accepting Letterman’s apology.

N.O.W. Actually Criticized David Letterman For Jokes Against Sarah Palin’s Daughter!

Posted in sarah palin 2012

Will miracles never cease?? N.O.W. (National Organization of Women) actually and FINALLY said something about David Letterman’s attack on Sarah Palin’s 14 year old daughter, Willow Palin.

It is extremely unusual for N.O.W. to come to the aid of any Republican and/or conservative female. They normally only come to the aid of liberal pro-choice type women. So, yay, we give a shout out to N.O.W. for speaking out against David Letterman on this issue.

Below is the story by the Associated Press:

NEW YORK (AP) — The National Organization for Women has placed David Letterman in its “media hall of shame” for a joke about Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s daughter.

Earlier this week, Lettermen joked that Palin’s daughter got “knocked up” by Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez during the Palins’ recent trip to New York.

Letterman has said his joke was about Palin’s 18-year-old daughter, who is an unwed mother. But Palin attended the Yankee game with 14-year-old daughter Willow.

Palin told NBC’s “Today” show Friday morning that Letterman owes an apology to young women across the country for the joke.

And the president of NOW, Kim Gandy, said, “Nobody should be making jokes about the sexual activities of teenagers.”

Letterman said on his show Wednesday that he would “never, ever make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl.”

He admits, though, that he was guilty of poor taste.

David Letterman On Sarah Palin and Her Daughter Willow, Disgusting and Uncalled For Rape Jokes!

Posted in sarah palin 2012

0

David Letterman has made Sarah Palin the brunt of his foolish and NOT SO FUNNY jokes for quite awhile now. He is a has been with horrible writers who can’t find anything to really make fun of so these jokes just keep on coming.

David Letterman recently made a lot of Sarah Palin jokes after her recent trip to New York. One of the ignorant jokes Letterman made had to do with Sarah Palin’s 14 year old daughter who attended a Yankees game in New York with her parents. Letterman spent about eight minutes “defending” himself, with a so-called apology that was just another joke fest with a sick laugh track. He also invited Sarah Palin to come on his show. Letterman can hold his breath for Sarah Palin to come on, why should she help his ratings anyway??

The Letterman vs Palin debacle began when David Letterman made Sarah Palin the centerpiece of his Top 10 List Monday night, after she made a trip to New York City. Letterman’s list was a hodgepodge of Sarah Palin jokes and slams against her, her politics, and her family.

The one that got the Palins riled up this time was a joke Letterman made about Willow Palin (only 14 years old) getting “knocked up” by Alex Rodriguez during the trip. In response, Sarah Palin went on Facebook to talk about Letterman making jokes about rape.

Governor Palin said it was “disgusting” for a 62-year-old to make comments about raping a 14-year-old. Letterman claims he was talking about Bristol Palin who is 18 years old, but it was Willow who attended the Yankees game. It really does not matter because either way the jokes were disgusting to say about anyone, whether 14 or 18.

Nevertheless, Letterman spent much of the top of Wednesday night’s show explaining himself, and stopping just short of apologizing for it. Letterman’s guest Kathy Griffin had no qualms, filling the Palin insult quota for the night. Kathy Griffin by the way is a disgusting filthy mouthed woman who will do or say anything to make a buck!

David Letterman and Sarah Palin would naturally disagree about some things if they ever got together, given their different political stances. Sarah Palin is a good and decent conservative Christian woman while David Letterman is the typical Hollywood liberal who has very few morals. Sarah Palin has faced other attacks from the late night comedic circuit, although her current objection is over Letterman’s jokes about her daughter.

Palin’s objection to that overshadowed the other big attack of Monday night, when Letterman said she had a “slutty flight-attendant look.” For that, Letterman had no regrets.

My opinion is that the left is fearful of Sarah Palin kicking Barry O’s behind in the 2012 Presidential election and they are afraid of her. They hope by constantly smearing her and her family that she will run and hide. But they don’t know OUR Sarah Palin, she is a brave and intelligent woman. She won’t run and hide!

Sarah Palin to Attend GOP Fundraiser with Newt Gingrich Tonight! Go Sarah!!

Posted in sarah palin 2012

According to the Washington Post article, Sarah Palin WILL be attending the GOP fundraiser after all. That is great news.

See the Washington Post article below in it’s entirety.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is planning to attend the joint House-Senate fundraising dinner tonight, according to sources familiar with her schedule, ending a back and forth between the vice presidential nominee and the two congressional campaign committees that goes back for months.

Palin was initially invited to keynote tonight’s gathering, which will benefit the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, as the keynote speaker.

Depending on whom you believe, Palin either accepted and then reneged or never accepted in the first place. Either way, the two congressional committees moved on — inviting former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.) to stand in for Palin.

Then came word — via Politico’s Jonathan Martin — that Palin had been re-invited to the event and asked to speak only to have that invite reneged when concerns were raised that she would overshadow Gingrich.

Palin’s appearance is one of several stops she will make while in the nation’s capital. “In DC, will meet w AK’s Washington office (John Katz) re: natural gas pipeline & readying AK for good movement on huge project for us & U.S.’s,” Palin tweeted minutes ago.

She has also taped an interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity that is set to run this evening. In excerpts obtained by the Drudge Report Palin says “we told ya so” when asked about the direction President Obama has taken the nation, adding: “If Americans aren’t paying attention, unfortunately our country could evolve into something that we do not even recognize.”
